Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old at time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep/kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire loyalty.
• Stay current on products through training and independent research.
• Lead a guest-obsessed culture in both kitchen and retail sales floor.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits and positive feedback.
• Help achieve class revenue goals through enrollment, reviews, and returns.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals; KPIs include sales value and conversion rates.
• Set up and breakdown classes; organize mise en place, prep ingredients, clean stations.
• Clean and sanitize dishes and equipment promptly for smooth operations.
• Restock, organize, and maintain kitchen supplies and tools.
• Ensure food safety standards and sanitation compliance.
• Handle tools and equipment safely; maintain inventory and manage shrink.
• May handle liquor, wine, and beer per regulations.
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness; address maintenance needs promptly.
• Adhere to wage and hour laws; record time per policy.
• Model adherence to SOPs and Sur La Table policies.
