Job summary

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants in Chicago is NOW HIRING for our Summer Culinary BOH Internship opportunities. The program runs May 25–August 4, 2027, about 10 weeks, with internships in multiple Lettuce locations and a final expo in Chicago.

Interns participate in weekly seminars and a hands-on restaurant experience, with an hourly pay range of USD 16.00–20.00 per hour. Applicants must be enrolled in a culinary program or have at least 1 year of practical experience, and travel to required

Qualifications

• Required 1 year of practical experience OR current enrollment in a culinary program.
• Any experience with Italian or French cuisine is a big plus!
• Interns will attend weekly virtual meetings covering topics such as restaurant financials, menu creation, marketing and more.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete weekly seminars, management checklists, and internship activities.
• Perform essential functions and duties in an assigned restaurant (host, server, runner, busser, cook, etc.).
• Move and lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to stand or sit for long shifts.
• Work variable shifts, including weekends and nights, and communicate effectively.
