Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support dining services, meal preparation, and related areas for residents. You will help ensure a high-quality dining experience while maintaining cleanliness and food safety.

The role involves setup and service in dining spaces, sanitation duties, and collaboration with the Culinary Coordinator. Ideal candidates are high school students 14+ with strong communication and teamwork skills, willing to work under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school student 14+ pursuing diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication, organizational and listening skills.
• Willingness to work under supervision; preferred in elderly care or hospitality settings.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and set up the dining room for meals and serve residents.
• Transport food to other dining areas and clear tables.
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene, using PPE and following health regs.
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to alarms or emergencies.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services; participate in safety committees.
• Assist with events and activities as requested.
• Complete incident reports and maintain resident confidentiality.
