Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support the kitchen, dining room, dish room, and related areas under the direction of the Culinary Coordinator. This role ensures a high-quality dining experience for residents while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

The position offers a starting wage of $12.00-$14.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and benefits, and requires a high school student (14+) with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school student (14+) working toward a diploma or GED.
• Good communication and listening skills are essential.
• Calm, friendly demeanor with patience and flexibility.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the dining room for meals and serve residents.
• Transport food to other dining areas and clear tables.
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene; follow PPE, hair covering and hand protection rules.
• Report unsafe conditions and respond to alarms or emergencies.
