Job summary

You will oversee kitchen operations, manage resources, and collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure a high-quality culinary arts program. The position also involves data tracking, licensure compliance, and active professional development

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of successful experience in a food service setting as an executive chef or comparable occupation.
• CTE certification, or willingness to become certified required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Career & Technical Education teaching and food service supervisory experience preferred.
• Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications and web resources.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and solution-based approach.
• Satisfactory completion of local, state, and federal criminal history check and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver explicit culinary instruction and skills mastery.
• Design and implement a comprehensive culinary arts curriculum.
• Prepare engaging lesson plans with hands-on activities.
• Maintain safe kitchen environment adhering to food safety regs.
• Manage program of study and instruction schedule.
• Utilize CTE curriculum software for instruction and assessments.
• Provide career guidance and post-secondary planning.
• Foster student engagement and track progress.
• Maintain records in ProgressBook/Gradebook and credential tracking.
• Oversee kitchen setup, inventory, safety inspections.
• Build partnerships with culinary schools.
• Participate in professional development and collaboration.
