Job summary

Culpeper County Public Schools, CTEC Building, Culpeper, Virginia, seeks a Culinary Arts Instructor for the 2027-2028 school year. In this role you will plan and deliver engaging culinary instruction in classroom and lab settings, preparing students for industry credentials and employment in culinary and food-service careers.

You will coordinate with stakeholders, maintain records, manage a bustling kitchen-lab, and support dual-enrollment opportunities while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with CTE endorsement.
• Endorsement through education, occupational experience, industry credentials, or approved licensure pathway.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in culinary arts, commercial food prep, restaurant operations, hospitality, or related field.
• Current ServSafe certification, or ability to obtain within district timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students using demonstrations, direct instruction, labs, and technology.
• Design engaging, rigorous experiences aligned with Virginia CTE competencies and industry standards.
• Deliver instruction with timely feedback and develop objectives, units, lessons, and assessments.
• Maintain records and track attendance, grades, and competency progress.
