DIG INN Restaurant Teams is seeking a Chef-in-Training in New York to join our scratch-based kitchen. You will learn culinary skills, work across multiple stations, and grow into a leadership role while contributing to high-quality, scratch-made meals.

Earn $17-18/hour plus $2-3/hour in tips and other benefits. The role emphasizes teamwork, growth, and a shared mission to rebuild the food system in a vibrant, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for real, good food and a desire to learn culinary practices and skills.
• Ability to demonstrate and execute a strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position (frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains using recipes as a guide.
• Gain exposure to different kitchen stations (garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge).
• Speak to guests about menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients to create a scratch-made meal.
• Support team during peak and off-peak service by pitching in wherever needed.
• Move and multi-task in the kitchen; physical requirements with/without accommodations.
