Koelsch Communities' Maple Glen memory care in Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking a personable Culinary Aide for a part-time role to support dining services for residents.

You will set up dining areas, assist with meal service, follow sanitation guidelines, help residents choose meals, and keep the dining area clean. Part-time team members receive select benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• A food handler's card is required.
• Basic math skills are needed.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds.
• Must be drug free and pass background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage policies.
• Assist residents in selecting food and beverages, present menu and specials.
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages.
• Interact with residents in a courteous and empathetic manner.
• Maintain grooming and clean uniform.

We are seeking a personable and attentive Culinary Aide to join our Culinary Department at Maple Glen memory care!

Part-time opportunity!

Earn between $16 and $17/hour, dependent on experience!

Multiple Shifts! 9AM - 6PM, FRI - MON.

Who you are:

You enjoy providing outstanding customer service to residents. This role provides meal service, buses tables, and cleans kitchen and dining areas.

What you'll do:

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Assist residents select food and beverages by presenting menu, making suggestions and explaining chefs’ daily specials
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages as needed
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintain clean uniform at all times
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor
• Assist with special events as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift 15 pounds
• Must be drug free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
