Koelsch Communities' Maple Glen memory care in Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking an enthusiastic Caregiver to join our Resident Services Department as a full-time team member. The role provides compassionate personal assistance to residents, including activities of daily living, with opportunities for CNA certification and growth within the organization.

Earn $18–$21/hour based on experience, with excellent health and other benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or senior care preferred.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities with compassion.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain CNA certification as needed by policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, mobility).
• Engage residents in conversation, social activity, and personal care.
• Respond promptly to care needs and coordinate with licensed staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold resident rights.
• Observe changes in residents and report to nursing staff as required.

Who you are:

You pride yourself in providing exceptional hospitality and personal assistance. This role delivers in a safe and efficient manner the highest quality individualized assistance program to all residents.

What you'll do:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Keep the environment safe and clean for residents
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times
• Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be drug-freeand submit to drug screening upon hire
• Must have ability to gain CPR/ First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
