Job summary

Silver Creek Inn in Mesa, AZ is seeking a personable Culinary Aide to join its Culinary Department. This part-time role offers opportunities to provide meal service, buss tables, and maintain kitchen and dining areas. Starting pay is $18/hour with benefits for full-time staff and partial benefits for part-time.

You will help with dining room setup, guest assistance, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards, while supporting special events and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Positive interpersonal skills are required.
• A food handler's card is required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds.
• Must be drug free and submit to drug screening on hire and routinely.
• Must pass a criminal background check on hire and as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness.
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Assist residents with selecting food and beverages by presenting menu, making suggestions and explaining chefs’ daily specials.
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages as needed.
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner.
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
