Rock Creek at The Park in Surprise, AZ is seeking a personable Culinary Aide to join our Culinary Department.

This is a part-time opportunity with 15-20 hours per week, including afternoons and weekends, and pay between $16.50 and $17.50 per hour depending on experience. Benefits are offered with full-time eligibility and part-time dental/accident coverage, plus meal during scheduled shift and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Positive impersonal skills are required.
• A food handler's card is required.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds.
• Must be drug free and submit to drug screening upon hire.
• Must pass a criminal background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and keep dining areas clean.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies.
• Assist residents by presenting menu and daily specials.
• Bus dirty dishes and refill beverages.
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic manner.
• Maintain grooming standards and clean uniform.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You enjoy providing outstanding customer service to residents. This role provides meal service, buses tables, and cleans kitchen and dining areas.

What you'll do:

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Assist residents select food and beverages by presenting menu, making suggestions and explaining chefs' daily specials
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents' beverages as needed
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintain clean uniform at all times
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor
• Assist with special events as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
