Job summary

Tallo, a Stride, Inc. portfolio company, seeks a Head of Technology to lead the engineering and technology organization, shaping architecture, delivery, and strategy across product, data, and growth initiatives. This is a working leadership role reporting to the CEO.

You will supervise engineering managers, drive AI/ML strategy, ensure safety and security, and partner with executives to translate vision into scalable, user‑centric outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering leadership across multi-team orgs.
• Proven record of hiring and growing engineers and leaders.
• Experience with cloud architectures, DevOps, and distributed systems.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the existing engineering team, setting org structure and standards.
• Define architecture and technical direction for the platform.
• Partner with product, data, and marketing to translate strategy into execution.
• Oversee safety, security, and compliance for technology.
• Establish engineering metrics and drive team health.
