Job summary

Tallo, led by Stride, Inc., seeks a Head of Technology to guide the engineering and technology organization. You will shape architecture, drive product delivery, and partner across Product, Data, Marketing, and executive leadership to translate strategy into execution.

You will manage engineering managers, set technical direction, and ensure robust, scalable platforms with strong security and governance. This is a working leadership role reporting to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in software engineering and senior leadership of multi-team organizations.
• Proven experience leading engineering managers and building team structures, leveling frameworks, and operating models.
• Track record of shipping customer-facing product capabilities, including data-driven or AI-enabled features, into production.
• Excellent people leadership skills, including coaching managers and developing technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Take over an existing engineering team and develop it, building durable systems and driving user outcomes.
• Set clear standards for engineering quality, ownership, and accountability at each level.
• Own safety and security for technology, ensuring compliant and secure systems.
