Stride, Inc. is seeking a Head of Technology to lead Tallo's engineering and technology organization.

You will manage engineering managers, shape platform architecture, and drive delivery aligned with product roadmap while partnering with Product, Data, Marketing, and leadership to translate strategy into execution. The role emphasizes working leadership, overseeing architecture, security, and long‑term platform evolution, including AI/ML initiatives, reporting to the CEO and collaborating

Qualifications

• Deep experience leading multi‑team software organizations.
• Proven ability to hire, onboard, and coach engineering managers.
• Strong background in cloud‑based architectures and DevOps.
• Track record shipping data‑driven or AI‑enabled features.
• Ownership mindset for security, safety, and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication at the executive level.

Responsibilities

• Take over an existing engineering team and develop it to meet product roadmap needs.
• Set and evolve the engineering structure, standards, and development paths.
• Lead architecture and technical standards across the platform.
• Own safety, security, and compliance for technology and data handling.
• Partner with data science, product, and marketing to drive roadmap delivery.
• Measure and improve delivery throughput, quality, and team health.
