Job summary

Parallax Innovations is seeking an accomplished CTO to own our narrative intelligence platform, guiding engineering, AI, data, privacy, and architecture. You will shape strategy, lead contract engineers, and drive decisions on models, data, and resources while aligning with executive leadership.

You will inherit and scale a data/engineering team, manage budgets and hiring, and report on progress to the board and investors, with periodic trips to Denver as needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in engineering, machine learning, AI or data product roles with leadership.
• Experience shipping AI/data products used to make real decisions.
• Executive leadership beyond a technical team; cross-functional alignment.
• Experience taking AI or data products from early versions to reliable deployments.
• High integrity and responsibility for privacy, accuracy and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of Parallax’s core technology and competitive advantage.
• Define platform strategy, learning agenda, inputs, and quarter-over-quarter improvements.
• Oversee model decisions, data workflow, and cost/speed/accuracy tradeoffs.
• Build dashboards and reporting to explain platform outcomes to internal and partners.
• Ensure data compliance and AI ethics guidelines are articulated and followed.
• Lead the data/engineering team, budget, and hiring in collaboration with leadership.
• Translate platform findings into weekly guidance for creatives and partners.
