Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Sr. Director, CTO FP&A to lead the financial planning and analysis for the Central Technology Organization. You will partner with the CTO office and engineering leadership to manage CTO investments, Opex and Capex, and drive ROI.

You will forecast, budget, and present to executives, oversee CTO P&L, and advance AI-enabled analytics and cloud financial modeling to improve forecast accuracy and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of related finance experience, ideally including digital media industry experience.
• 5+ years of Management experience.
• Proven FP&A / Financial Operations experience with a focus on technology and cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud services business models, pricing strategies, and market trends.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; attention to detail; problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in Excel, Google Sheets and reporting, with visual graphs/data to tell a cohesive story.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted productivity and analytical tools to enhance workflow velocity.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, annual budget planning, long-range planning, and executive presentations.
• Serve as trusted strategic advisor to CTO and engineering leaders on financial guidance.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual CTO P&L reviews.
• Oversee cost budgets across the Central Technology Office with accountability.
• Champion AI-enabled analytics and predictive modeling to improve forecast accuracy.
• Develop short- and long-term financial projections using market trends and data.
• Provide meaningful analytics to help achieve company goals and objectives.
• Assess ROI and total cost of ownership for technology initiatives including cloud and AI infra.
