Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited university.
• Valid Alabama certificate with career technical administration endorsement.
• Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification licensure under applicable Alabama statutes.
• Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching and career technical school administrative experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to supervise, budget, and develop curriculum and programming for CTE.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates support for the school system's vision, goals and priorities.
• Formulates and administers a comprehensive, modern program of career technical education.
• Maintains relationships with community/state agencies and local businesses to align training with needs.
• Continuously appraises and evaluates the CTE program to improve student outcomes.
• Administers the departmental budget and seeks appropriate funds.
• Coordinates data gathering and analysis related to local job opportunities and postsecondary alignment.
• Implements and supervises in-service and professional development for staff.
• Interprets and communicates the CTE program to the public.
