Job summary

• Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot problems, and provide timely advising support.

Responsibilities

• Guide CTE students in identifying appropriate educational pathways and advising on CU vs CE options.
• Provide cross-divisional advising between Curriculum and Continuing Education for degree, diploma, certificate, and other options.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of CTE programs to ensure accurate program-specific advising.
• Deliver high-quality advising, using Self-Service and other student information systems.
• Advise on degree, diploma, and certificate requirements, progression, and transfer pathways.
• Conduct group advising sessions and collaborate with CTE faculty advisors.
• Maintain confidential records and stay current on CFCC admissions, policies, and program updates.
• Support advising at multiple campus locations and connect students with counseling, financial aid, accessibility services, and career planning.
