Job summary

The College of Coastal Georgia seeks an advisor to assist students in developing their career and academic goals, and to guide them through opportunities at CCGA and beyond. This role is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).

You will provide structured academic planning, career counseling, and program development in collaboration with faculty, including occasional travel to the Camden Center and after-hours events.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in counseling, education or a related field is required.
• Must possess a current valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• More than one year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert and proactive advising for students through structured academic plans.
• Provide career and academic advising services using career assessments.
• Explain CCGA policies on general education and graduation requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisor and faculty to create relevant programming for students.
• Travel to Camden Center and participate in evening/weekend activities as needed.
• Assist with resume, cover letter and job search skill development.
