Ochsner Health System Careers is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT for the Ochsner St. Mary facility. The role involves performing routine CT procedures, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring patient safety per radiation protocols.

The candidate will maintain high-quality imaging, verify orders, and support departmental operations while flexible scheduling may include nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligible with timely CT credentialing
• Current state license to practice radiologic technology and BLS certification

Responsabilités

• Verify physician orders and ensure accuracy.
• Operate imaging equipment per protocol and IV placement as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Perform quality control and notify/remediate as required.
• Assist in department operations including inventory and scheduling.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; adapt care to patient needs.
