Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking an OR Service Coordinator for the CT/Vascular service line in Surgical Services. This full-time role oversees workflow, supports staff, and ensures patient care meets accreditation and regulatory standards.

You will mentor staff, coordinate equipment with vendors and leaders, and help manage room turnover and scheduling to support efficient surgical operations.

Qualifications

• Supervise workflow and staff for surgical service lines.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO/CMS and state licensure.
• Design education materials and coach staff.
• Act as clinical resource and mentor for service line staff.
• Coordinate equipment with vendors and department leaders.
• Manage service line within department budget.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision of workflow and staff for service lines within Surgical Services.
• Assures provision of patient care and addresses issues/concerns for patients, families, and physicians.
• Mentors staff and coordinates equipment needed for each service.
• Operates service line within budgetary goals defined by leadership.
• Ensures daily equipment and supply needs for clinical staff are met.
• Monitors daily surgery schedule and assigns equipment and staff as needed.
• Updates preference cards based on physician needs or changes.
• Facilitates turnover of rooms between cases.
• Coordinates with Charge Nurse to ensure staff coverage during breaks.
• Ensures room cleaning per guidelines and completes competency assessments.
