Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking an OR Service Coordinator (CT/Vascular) for First Shift in Lexington, KY. The role leads the CT/Vascular service line within Surgical Services, overseeing workflow, staff supervision, and patient care while ensuring compliance with accreditation and licensure standards.

You will coordinate equipment, update provider preference cards, and ensure room turnover and staffing coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in surgical services.
• RN or CST certification required; if not CST certified, must obtain within 2 years from hire date; or 15 years as Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workflow and staff for CT/Vascular service line within Surgical Services.
• Address performance, patient, family, and physician concerns; ensure patient care.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with JCAHO/CMS accreditation and State licensure requirements.
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor/preceptor to staff within the service line.
• Coordinate equipment and supplies for service lines with vendors and department leadership.
• Monitor daily surgery schedule and coordinate with managers to assign equipment and staff.
• Update preference cards within two weeks of physician needs or changes in technique or supplies.
• Facilitate turnover of rooms between cases and ensure proper room cleaning per guidelines.
• Coordinate with Operations Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse to ensure staffing during breaks and lunches.
• Complete annual competency assessments for staff; recommend educational, coaching, or disciplinary actions as needed.

Education
