Baptist Health Lexington is seeking an OR Service Coordinator (ENT/Plastics/Urology) for full-time first shift in Lexington, KY. This role oversees workflow and staff within Surgical Services, collaborates with managers, and ensures high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with accreditation and licensure requirements.

Responsibilities include budgetary oversight, mentoring staff, and coordinating room turnover and equipment for daily operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a surgical services setting.
• RN or CST certification; if not CST, must obtain within 2 years of hire.
• Extensive knowledge of service line coordination and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workflow and staff for service lines within Surgical Services.
• Address performance, patient, family, and physician issues as appropriate.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with JCAHO/CMS accreditation and state licensure.
• Coordinate equipment needed for each service with vendors and directors.
• Monitor daily surgery schedule and assign equipment and staff to care for patients.
• Update preference cards within two weeks based on physician needs or changes.
• Facilitate turnover of room between cases.
• Complete annual competency assessments of staff assigned to the service line.
• Recommend educational, coaching, or disciplinary actions based on issues.
