Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort. The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA principles, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certifications in radiography and CT, 1+ year of radiology experience, and strong communication skills to support safe, efficient imaging workflows.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • At least 1 year of radiology experience.
  • Certifications in ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, patient care, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures following departmental guidelines to capture diagnostic images.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to ensure diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
  • Maintaining cleanliness, disinfecting equipment, and reporting issues promptly.
  • Gathering clinical history, verifying orders, and ensuring patient safety and comfort using clear communication protocols.
  • Administering contrast agents, positioning patients accurately, and reviewing images for diagnostic quality.
  • Documenting procedures accurately, managing patient data in RIS/PACS, and supporting departmental workflows.
  • Monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and maintaining safety equipment.
  • Supporting operational compliance, organizing work areas, and assisting with patient transport and clerical tasks.
