Job summary

The Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging in a hospital setting, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves performing CT procedures, optimizing image quality, using ALARA, preparing patients, and documenting in RIS/PACS while providing clear communication and maintaining sterile, safe environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 1 year of radiology experience.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-CT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures following department protocols and capture diagnostic images efficiently.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining diagnostic quality and minimizing radiation exposure.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification before exams.
• Communicate procedures clearly, address patient questions, and promote comfort and safety.
• Administer contrast media, position patients properly, and apply shielding and immobilization.
• Review images for quality, make adjustments, and document in RIS/PACS systems.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support infection control practices.
• Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
