Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience in a collaborative healthcare setting.Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical precision.
- Operate imaging equipment independently, ensuring safety and maintaining diagnostic quality while adhering to ALARA principles.
- Maintain cleanliness and disinfect equipment, report issues promptly, and ensure infection control standards.
- Gather clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification and safety before procedures.
- Explain procedures clearly, address patient questions, and provide age-appropriate care to reduce anxiety.
- Position patients, administer contrast agents when needed, and review images for diagnostic quality.
- Complete accurate documentation, manage RIS/PACS systems, and ensure proper study finalization.
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support department workflows efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
- Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (Basic Life Support).
