Job summary

Akumin is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time role at our Plantation, FL facility. The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and performing high-quality CT studies, with strong communication to radiologists.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, training new staff, and troubleshooting scanner and peripherals. State license and ARRT NMTCB acceptable in lieu of ARRT required. COVID-19 vaccination may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• ARRT CT registration required; NMTCB acceptable in lieu of ARRT if state allows.
• State license in Medical Imaging; CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to transport if mobile unit.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT studies with patient safety in mind.
• Pre-screen for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections; maintain aseptic technique.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
