Job summary

Akumin Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist for our South Florida facilities on a PRN basis.

You will ensure patient safety, pre-screen for contraindications to radiation and contrast, and perform high-quality CT studies in collaboration with radiologists. Responsibilities include communicating with healthcare teams and patients, training new technologists or Patient Coordinators, troubleshooting the scanner and peripheral equipment, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT CT registration or NMTCB CT certification in lieu
• State license and CPR certification required
• Experience with CT imaging preferred
• Ability to train new technologists or patient coordinators

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast
• Perform high-quality CT studies
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, staff and patients
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators
• Troubleshoot CT scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS)
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with safety protocols
