Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging and ensure patient safety and comfort. You will work within a collaborative radiology team to deliver accurate diagnostic images and maintain ALARA principles, with opportunities for professional growth and education support.

The role requires ARRT certifications (Radiography and CT) and at least 1 year of radiology experience, along with BLS.

Competenze

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS (American Heart Association).

Mansioni

Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and use technical knowledge to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain image quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
Maintain and clean rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care during visits.
Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or adjust as needed and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; assist with transfers as needed.Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock crash cart and life-support equipment.
Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists to support department flow; follow regulatory requirements and escalate issues.
