Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will work within a collaborative care team at Cobb Hospital, performing CT scans and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include a radiologic technology program graduate and ARRT certifications, with at least 1 year in radiology. This full-time role offers opportunities for growth and lifelong learning in a leading health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R Radiography and ARRT CT certifications, plus BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, maintaining ALARA and diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely; adjust techniques as required.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications; verify orders and identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients; apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; repeat/correct as needed and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies and assist with life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows; collaborate to support department operations.
