Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and supportive patient care. You will join a collaborative radiology team and contribute to accurate, efficient studies within a fast-paced department.

The position emphasizes patient safety, clear communication, and adherence to ALARA principles while supporting department workflows and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-CT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and use technique to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest dose.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and disinfect rooms per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and address questions to reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and reimage if needed.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exams.
