Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist who will deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, work with a collaborative care team, and support department goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year Radiology experience required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT credentials; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and minimize dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect rooms and maintain equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care using AIDET to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams with contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients appropriately.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment.
• Support department flow and keep areas stocked and compliant.
