Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using your technical knowledge to capture diagnostic images while ensuring ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography).
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality.
• Disinfect rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for quality; repeat or adjust as needed and release patients.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS, manage transfers, CDs, and prior exam retrieval.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflow to support department operations and compliance.
