Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. Join a team of clinical professionals within Wellstar's integrated health system.

You will perform CT procedures, maintain infection control, and ensure safety and comfort from pre-exam through post-care, with emphasis on ALARA and accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines to capture quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, verify orders and patient IDs.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, safety, and age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and re-image if needed; release patients.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exam retrieval.
