Job summary

Advocate Health in Shelby seeks a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures per department protocols. The role requires operating CT scanners, preparing patients, obtaining histories, and documenting procedures.

You will work with Radiologists and staff to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety. The position supports variable PRN scheduling and requires ARRT/NMTCB CT registry within one year, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB with CT registry required within one year.
• BLS certification is required at hire.
• Ability to operate CT equipment and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for each patient.
• Operate CT scanners and associated equipment with proficiency.
• Prepare patients, obtain medical history, and document on worksheets.
• Record contrast administration and ensure radiation safety.
• Collaborate with Radiologist and nursing as needed.
• Rotate shifts, including call back, weekends, and holidays.
