Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. The role requires completing an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-CT certification, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Responsibilities include performing CT procedures per department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality, maintaining infection control, and providing clear explanations using AIDET.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT, BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic image quality while minimizing dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Complete documentation and ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with other technologists to support department flow.
