Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience. The role supports a collaborative care team with emphasis on ALARA practices and accurate documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, and BLS. Minimum 1 year radiology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and apply ALARA to minimize dose.
• Prepare rooms and equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and confirm patient identity before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with sterile technique as applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat as needed.
• Document findings and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exams.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and compliance with regulations.
