Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA, is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT exams, ensure dose-conscious techniques, and maintain patient comfort in a busy imaging department.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, BLS, and at least one year of radiology experience. You will collaborate with radiology staff, follow ALARA principles, and contribute to safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile techniques.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete documentation and ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash carts and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations and regulatory compliance, keep areas stocked and compliant, and escalate issues.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
