Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and supporting equipment, ensuring procedures meet departmental standards and safety guidelines. The role involves patient preparation, history review, contrast administration, image quality assessment, and collaboration with Radiologists to finalize reports.

Candidates must hold ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with radiology safety standards and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and coordinate with Radiologist as needed.
• Identify patients and prepare them for procedures with explanations.
• Review patient history and EMR to inform exams and correlate results.
• Perform CT scanning from start to completion of dictated results.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and document usage.
• Maintain equipment and adheres to safety procedures and infection control policies.
• Rotate shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends as required.
