Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT within one year of hire.
• BLS required.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders; refer questions to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures briefly.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and sterile technique in all procedures.
• Document contrast administration and charge procedures in the MAR.
• Rotate shifts, including call back, holidays and weekends; follow attendance policy.
• Operate radiology computer system and record results.
• Assist anesthesia when performing CT-related exams.
