Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality CT imaging and patient-centered care. You will perform CT procedures, monitor radiation safety, and collaborate with the radiology team to ensure accurate, timely study finalization in RIS/PACS.

Required credentials include ARRT-R and ARRT-CT, BLS, and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with at least one year radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and optimize technique for ALARA dose.
• Maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, verify orders and patient IDs.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Support department workflow and maintain supplies; report issues to supervisor.
