Ochsner Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine CT procedures with attention to radiation safety and patient care. This role includes mentoring junior staff and maintaining quality control per regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, a valid state license, BLS, and the ability to work flexible hours across facilities. Ochsner emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork across multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligible within 90 days.
• Current state license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Verify physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Operate imaging equipment according to protocol and may assist with IV placement.
• Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Review patient images prior to transmission for diagnostic quality.
• Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Assist in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt communication and approach to the patient population; maintain privacy and consent.
• Perform other related duties as required.
