Job summary

Ochsner Health System Careers is seeking a CT technologist to perform routine CT procedures and mentor junior staff. You will verify orders, operate imaging equipment, and ensure diagnostic quality while communicating clearly with patients.

The role requires ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, a current license, BLS, and the ability to work flexible hours across facilities. Travel between Ochsner sites may be required.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered and/or CT-ARRT registry eligible with 90 days to employment.
• CT registry eligible within one year; advanced CT certification within one year of eligibility.
• Current unrestricted license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Operates imaging equipment per protocol and handles IV placement.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
• Supports department operations (inventory, staff schedules, maintenance).
• Adapts care to patient population and maintains privacy standards.
• Performs other related duties as required.
