Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT examinations following departmental protocols and operate CT scanners with proficiency.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology and BLS, graduation from an ARRT-recognized program, and the ability to communicate with patients and radiologists. Responsibilities include proper patient prep, image quality checks, and adherence to safety standards with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CT scanners and related equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and radiation protection concepts.
• Ability to verify orders, document history, and coordinate with Radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with radiologist before exams.
• Explain procedures and obtain patient identifiers.
• Prepare patients and obtain medical history from EMR as needed.
• Perform CT imaging and post-processing per protocol.
• Maintain equipment and uphold radiation safety standards.
• Assist in emergencies and code blue procedures when required.
