Job summary

Atrium Health Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scanning and assist Radiologists. You will verify orders, prepare patients, administer IV contrast, and ensure quality imaging across various clinical settings.

The role requires ARRT or NMTCB CT certification within one year of hire and BLS. You will work in a dynamic radiology department with emphasis on safety and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests, verifies orders, and flags discrepancies with Radiologist.
• Identifies patients and explains procedures; documents on worksheets.
• Reviews patient history and correlates test results for exams.
• Manages exam from start to final dictated results.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocols; records used contrast.
• Evaluates image quality and consults Radiologist as needed.
• Provides basic patient care and monitors condition; assists in emergencies.
• Performs CT scanning and supports Radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and infection control; handles supplies properly.
• Obtains medications or contrast material as directed by a licensed practitioner.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines for staff and patients.
• Reports equipment malfunctions; maintains safe work environment.
• Follows fire/safety procedures; completes safety modules.
• Rotates shifts, may include call backs, holidays, weekends; adheres to attendance policy.
• Operates radiology computer system; documents contrast administration in MAR.
• Keeps work area clean and stocked; assists in other departments as needed.
