Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures and contribute to patient care. The role requires ARRT certification, Ohio licensure, and ability to work nights within a 5x12 schedule with every other Sunday on call.

The successful candidate will operate advanced CT scanners, assist with CT-guided biopsies, coordinate imaging for inpatients and outpatients, and educate patients about procedures while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registered Radiology Technologist with ARRT.
• ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Neuro, MSK, abdominothoracic, and cardiac anatomy.
• IV Starts.
• Produces quality CT images in a variety of settings.
• Assisting with CT Guided Procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
• Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients.
• Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort.
• On the spot critical thinking.
• Effective communication skills.
• Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision.
• Works well both independently and as part of the CT Team.
