Preparing patients, obtaining clinical histories, explaining procedures using AIDET, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. They operate imaging equipment, administer contrast agents, and position patients correctly, reviewing images for diagnostic quality. Accurate documentation and timely finalization in RIS/PACS are essential.
They maintain infection control standards, troubleshoot equipment issues, and respond to emergencies. The role involves organizing workflows, supporting departmental operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, they assist with patient transport, stock supplies, and perform clerical tasks as needed.
A high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and a minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications required are ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
