Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining equipment according to infection control standards. They operate imaging equipment independently, adjust techniques to optimize diagnostic results while minimizing radiation exposure, and review images for diagnostic acceptability.

Key duties include obtaining patient history, explaining procedures using AIDET, administering contrast via venipuncture when needed, and accurately documenting studies in RIS/PACS. They monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support department workflows by organizing daily tasks and collaborating with team members.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with at least one year of radiology experience. Certifications required are ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
