Job summary

WMCG is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging as part of a collaborative care team. You will operate CT equipment independently, perform procedures according to protocol, and minimize radiation exposure (ALARA).

The role requires ARRT CT certification, ARRT Radiography, and BLS, with a minimum of 1 year radiology experience. You will ensure patient safety, prepare contrast, and document in RIS/PACS while maintaining equipment readiness.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures according to department protocols and adjust techniques for optimal results.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and functionality of equipment, reporting issues promptly.
  • Gathering clinical history, verifying patient identity, and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety using AIDET.
  • Ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy, providing age-appropriate care.
  • Administering contrast agents, positioning patients, and applying safety measures.
  • Reviewing images for diagnostic quality, repeating scans if necessary, and documenting procedures accurately in RIS/PACS.
  • Monitoring patient condition, responding to emergencies, and assisting with equipment readiness.
  • Organizing workflow, supporting department operations, and adhering to regulatory standards.
