Job summary

Wellstar is hiring a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and patient care at Cobb Hospital. This full-time role supports a night shift and offers a sign-on bonus with relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Technologists work as part of a collaborative radiology team. Key responsibilities include performing CT exams, maintaining dose safety, preparing and consenting patients, and ensuring accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT, BLS (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques for diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers; obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding; review images for diagnostic acceptability.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
